I am a population biologist, working in the Department of Conservation Biology at the Chicago Zoological Society (also known as the Brookfield Zoo). I serve as Chairman of the Conservation Breeding Specialist Group of the IUCN Species Survival Commission. I also am on the faculty of the Committee on Evolutionary Biology of the University of Chicago.
